This is the first time I have ever posted a hand on a forum so I appoligize if its not in the right place or simple question. The PFR was running a 21/12 over 40 hands and I am running a 20/10. I put him on an over pair but I was wondering if shoving is a good play in this situation but being OP thought folding was the best play. Any advise would be much appreciated.

given you have 40bb, i dont think you can shove pre, but i definitely like to raise here.

given that someone has flatted the original raise, you raising makes it look like a squeeze play, and i can see the original raiser getting it in with worse

i would raise to 22k and look to get it in pre.

I would reship this preflop with 20 bigs.

I'd go ahead and fold flop as you did.  It was an utg raise and utg +1 flatted so you have to think if you shove you are getting called a large majority of the time by an overpair and are drawing to your six outs.  If you don't 3b pre I'd go ahead and just fold the flop after utg leads and utg+1 flats…..one of them also could have flopped a set and you are drawing very slim if thats the case.  Just take your 37bbs and live to fight another day.
