So I have been on a pretty big downswing lately, and while I could be duo to variance it could also maybe be in my play. After analyzing my play I realised that I might struggle getting maximum value out of my premium hands, I was thinking if anyone had any tips on how to get max value out of premium hands.

Here is generally how I play premium hands right now, however the way I play it I could easily be called by better

…..49A84FE6A7

…..EBE762211A

(maybe I could have been less greddy here)

…..7E6CE338E1

…..17D63946FA

…..C7025AFFAA

…..67617E5F4D

(as you see here, he calls with better)

So any tips?

Hey Numberguy, know the feeling.  On a bit of downswing of my own.  I feel your frustration.  I am not a poker pro by a long shot but here are my thoughts on these hands.

Keep in mind that these actions are based on no reads.  I understand that you may have reads on these players that makes your play optimal.

Hand 1 – UL, next.. it happens

Hand2  – Not sure what to think about villians small (maybe blocker) bet on the river.  Not sure if there is value on your shove.  What hands call you that checked the turn?  A9,  Not sure if A10 calls you there.  Think and Q bets the turn, to many bad river cards to give a free card.  Think you are only being called by hands that beat you here.  Think I just call the river bet.

Hand 3 – You have the best hand on the flop the majority of the time.  The flop shove makes villian fold out most of his worst hands.  You got lucky that villian had a hand that was an equity flip.  I call his flop bet and reevaluate turn.

HAnd 4- Would play the same way

Hand 5 – 18BB shove from BB to pick up 35K in the pot.  definiely the least exploitive play but maybe not the most optimal.  Think a raise to 45K and get it in most flops would be optimal.

Hand 6 – Not a fan of your 3-bet sizing.  You are setting up a multiway pot.  Would raise to $160 -$180.  Button may still call and outcome would be the same.

Would love to here thoughts on my thoughts.  Thanks
