As this happens I am table chip 2nd and about 20 of 110 in tournament. Guy to my left has been quite active but not shown down anything spectacular or bad before.

My thoughts were: pre, use my stack and cbet on flop should fold any low suited stuff unless they're hearts. On turn I bet to get some chips in the pot if my flush drops. River I intend to check call just because of odds…

Looks like you played it fine postflop but preflop raise is a bit loose when you have someone behind you that calls and 3bets a lot plus you have two stacks that can easily shove on you light (18-20bbs range).

Cbet is good, sizing is fine at 1/3 pot and I like the turn bet when you pick up more equity. However, if you ck and he bets the river I think you have to fold as the opponent will have you beaten too often. To call, you are hoping he bluffs with something like QT or KQ and personally, I feel it is more likely he is calling down with a weak ace, J, possible flush draw etc and all of those beat you.

I like the play, post flop is fine and yes if the opponent bets the river its an easy fold, also I don't think that you should be aware of those reshoving stacks, if you have good/solid image you can take these spots, having this huge stack allows you to raise/fold without any serious damages to yourself.

Merfinis, out of interest, are you opening the K8s there 100% of the time?

I'm not so sure that it is a profitable open with those stacks behind and being the big stack does not necessarily stop opponents from jamming on you pretty light as they will know you could be opening a wide range. I'm not sure I buy into the idea of opening just because I have a big stack if that is your reasoning.

Any additional thoughts on this one?

Thanks.

No, definitely not 100% it depends from table flow (If the players behind us were active, has high 3bet frequencies) and our table image.

So, as for the vilains range: If I enter 42% – 12% into Slice for preflop, I get:

66-44,A8s-A2s,K9s-K2s,Q9s-Q4s,J9s-J6s,T7s+,97s+,87s,A9o-A3o,KTo-K6o,Q8o+,J8o+,T8o+

After flop I'd remove all Aces, since i think my bet would generally get raised by this player type. No?

So then on turn, when he only calls I definitely remove any monsters/monster draws as I think he'd raise them as well. I am pretty much left with low to middle pairs and K and Q highs and some random J & Ts?

On River my plan was to check/call up to about 4k as I figured I was getting about the right odds for it?

Since the network is not displaying mucked hands I don´t know what villain had. What seems most likely to me is QTo or a worse King than mine.

Aside: next orbit he jams 80BB over my call to HiJack open (had KK). He had 99 then, BB called for 30BB & I call obv. and get Greensteined by BB but scoop the side pot. GG villain.
