Okay, so i have run into this particular buzz saw a couple of times this week and it is starting to aggravate me a touch. I was wondering how in the world guys play heads up. Right now my strategy seems to be getting me crushed. I am interested in any thoughts on strategy or if anyone has any books/suggestions that would be great! Thanks all!

Depends on how deep you are when heads-up play begins. If you're both somewhat shallow you need to basically play it out the way you would as if it were a 180 turbo – shove wide, call somewhat tight.

If you're deep I recommend min-raising every button and pot controlling in position. Don't keep calling his button opens out of position with weakish hands. Either 3 bet some times or fold. You're asking to bleed money left and right if you turn into a call station HU.

Having played a lot of Hu Sngs  and had coaching on it basically what FKCoolers suggests is correct with some adjusting based on villian. If he starts playing back to our button opens we have to tighten up some as well. Also Stack sizes are huge consideration as to our play. If you want some help with push folding when either you or your opponent has less then 10 bigs you should look up the SAGE strategy.

I wish it was entirely, the first buzz saw was the Shootout Mini-FTOPs the other night, I got pwned. Last one, okay a little more, but it came live last night playing. So I did nail a second out of it, and the first one resulted in a really smooth 1300th place finish 🙂
