This wasn’t even 10 hands into the tournament so no major reads other than flatter was in a lot of the few pots that were actually played and villian had pushed all in on someone’s 3x.  I gave the 3 bet respect as a premium hand and I called for set value since we were deep.  I am curious if my call and line of thought on the flop is bad.  I am not in the habit at all of calling the low end of straight draws but the big flop bet to me narrowed his range down in my mind as a bet that is protecting AA or KK or maybe even AK trying to get me off of my hand.  I didn’t feel like QQ would bet this big because if a J does come then he’s still good.  I went with the my read assuming I have any J,6 or 7 as outs.  Is the hand and my reasoning bad?

I’m probably folding pre because you are close to set value odds but it’s meh.  Don’t hate it but it’s probably just better folding.

I fold on flop because a J is not necessarily the nuts for you as QQ is in his range.  If you hit a 7, your set might be dominated to JJ.  Just way too many ways to get stacked here and not enough ways to get chips cleanly.  I’d move on at each stage.

Also, to illustrate my point, look what happened on the turn.  You hit your card and got zero value from it.
