We are ITM in The Big $27.50 for a while now. Sitting with above average stack. Table isn't too active, feeling quite comfortable.
This is the 2nd hand I am unsure of my play. It's vs. the same villain as in hand #1 just about one orbit later.
blinds: 900/1800/225, we are 8 still handed
pre: Villain (stack: 85k) opens from UTG+2 with a min raise to 3600. Folded to me (stack: 76k). I got TT and decide to flat. Villain hasn't been active since the last hand so I don't want to bloat the pot oop or get it in in a coin-flip situation as we both have very comfortable stacks.
flop: 6Q6
Looks fine to me. He may have queens every now and then, but most often we are good. I check and villain bets 5346 into 9900. We just call. I guess a raise would be good (?).
turn: 9
Nice card! Villain bets 11119 into 20592, we just call again. Now in retro I am sure I should raise-get-it-in here, right? Or do we ever fold here believing he has KQ or something like that? Because of our last hand we know he is capable of 2-barral-folding river, so I don't have it in me to fold here ever I guess.
river: 3
Well, the flush has arrived. I don't think he is drawing to it on that board very often, though. Tbh I don't have a good read on him, either. As played I think he might have AK, AQ, KQ, 77-JJ, A9, and some bluffs in his range. Not sure if we made a good play. I guess I might fold to 3rd bullet or maybe shove, representing the flush or a house. What do you think of this plan?
I check, villain ???? (to be revealed soon).
Please let me know if we totally donked here, I felt very unhappy with my play in general in this tournament, still I am not sure if we should and if so, what to improve.
Pretty sure I just check call down. Raising any street wouldn't be great IMO. Would certainly not raise/get it in on the turn.
Given your history, where he 2 barreled as a bluff, I don't think he necessarily has to have a better hand. This is a pretty damn good runout for TT, particularly against a player who's proven to be at least somewhat aggressive postflop.
I think I agree with pckrrr in that river is a check/decide (most likely call). The only thing that would make me check/fold is that our perceived range has so much Qx and small flushes but he's betting anyway. I guess it would depend on sizing. (Maybe one of the more accomplished pros could tell me if my thought process is flawed regarding the importance of our perceived range here.)
So what did he do on the river?
