Final table of a 13.50 knockout tourney, with

Hero (CO): t326184 33 BBs – VPIP: 19, PFR: 16, 3B: 7, AF: 3.2, Hands: 202659
BTN: t311152 1 BBs – VPIP: 33, PFR: 19, 3B: 17, AF: 0.5, Hands: 21
SB: t353395 1 BBs – VPIP: 30, PFR: 25, 3B: 12, AF: 4.0, Hands: 81
BB: t327829 1 BBs – VPIP: 20, PFR: 18, 3B: 11, AF: 0.0, Hands: 45
UTG: t1076938 1 BBs – VPIP: 23, PFR: 17, 3B: 7, AF: 4.0, Hands: 35
UTG+1: t131066 1 BBs – VPIP: 9, PFR: 9, 3B: 9, AF: 0.5, Hands: 45
MP1: t367012 1 BBs – VPIP: 14, PFR: 6, 3B: 5, AF: 0.0, Hands: 94
MP2: t550424 55 BBs – VPIP: 24, PFR: 20, 3B: 6, AF: 2.3, Hands: 127

Pre Flop: (t0) Hero is CO with 8 of hearts 8 of clubs
3 folds, MP2 raises to t24444, Hero raises to t72455, 3 folds, MP2 calls t48011

What do we think about the 3bet here? Villian has bein active but has a fold to 3bet percentage of only 45% and what about the sizing?

Flop: (t144910) 4 of spades 5 of spades Q of spades (2 players)
MP2 checks, Hero checks

The reason I checked here is I didn't want to be check shoved on, which he could do with some bluffs, semi bluffs like flush draws and value hands like Qs, flushes and maybe a slowplayed over pair. Your thoughts on this?

Turn: (t144910) 7 of diamonds (2 players)
MP2 bets t84955, Hero raises to t252479, MP2 calls t167524

I'm not sure about this shove here, Im trying to fold out pairs smaller than the Q like JJ-99 I think this could be a bit ambitious though as hes getting 3 to 1 on a call. Im also trying to fold out his flush draws and any random bluff that has some equity.

It would seem a bit weak just to fold the 88s here.

River: (t649868) 4 of diamonds (2 players)

The problem with having this hand in your bluff range is that you have very little equity against his calling range. I'd either bet flop or just give up, depending on how strong I thought his preflop call was.

I prefer just calling w 88 here, I mean him folding is an okay result, but if he 4-bets it sucks pretty bad (unless you have some read that he 4-bet/folds really often in this spot) and even if he calls it sort of sucks as now theres a ton of money in pre and we have a hand which can make a really strong hand not super often and a pretty marginal hand on most boards. Also I would make the 3-bet smaller in this spot as well; maybe 55-65k or so seems good in general. Flop I would bet as its probably our best chance of winning, but this is a pretty brutal board as he could be peeling a lot of KJs/KQs/AQ type hands, I guess there shouldn't be too many Ax of spades combos, but who knows maybe he's making a bad peel w AT/AJo or something, and yeah I agree w andrew's point about not shoving the turn here as played.
