Villian had moved to table and was active. I decided after watching him for around four orbits to hit him with a three bet and play with him. Smallish three bet and he calls flop 10 high. Now he check calls two streets. 22K left for him after check small value shove or check it up?

i would check back here, he could easily have JJ, QQ or a higher T

Depends on the player if he's aggro I'd bet for thin value probably like (6000-7000). He's probably holding like JQ A/x of hearts or 10/x. I believe you're only beat by two hands here 10/Q or 10/K because if he had A/10 I think he'd probably raise flop because your bet being kind of smallish not to say I could be wrong about the A/10 because he might be pot controlling since you 3bet Pre which still only puts 3 hands ahead of you. Any other greater PP would probably put a raise in at some point more than likely the flop I believe. If you bet that amount it accomplishes something with a call or fold. Call: You're maximizing value from his Smaller PP, weaker 10's or whatever he decides to look you up with. With the slimmer chance you bet and he has you beat that bet leaves you with over 35BB which leaves you a C-bet or two if you miss a flop in the future. Fold: I personally hate tabling light 3bet's it wrecks your table image which is worth its weight it gold to me.
If he's been a nit or you lack any information on the player I check.
How's my logic here? I believe this makes good sense.

not sure about your first line flgtb. i dont think aggros ever check call with those types of hands. i very much doubt anyone check raises the flop with AT here, that is turning your hand into a bluff, its a dry board do the only hands that continue after a check raise here are sets and overpairs (villain would not put J9 or 79 in our preflop 3bet range that often)
i cant see how this is anything but pot controlling a made hand. that made hand could possible be 99, but very few worse tens are in villains range give that a preflop call means playing out of position. so this is either AT, 99, or JJ/QQ that is taking a pot control line. i really dont see any other sort of hands here – if villain is active, and had a hand without much showdown value, then he would have tried to take it away by now.
My post seems pretty player specific as I read it again. I guess maybe aggro was a bad description I seem to be more describing an active player (call station, fish, aggro or whatever it may be), given the stakes I still think valuing here is good against the right player. Check is probably the best general answer.
