Hi,

this is a hand from 4,40$ tournament on stars with 9000 fishy players which I luckily won 🙂 This hand was very strange. This oppenent was very creative postflop and made some strange things.

He was very active, so I squeezed here. The flop bet was much too big here… When he calls the flop I put him on a lot of gut shots, weak pairs, flush draws, etc. I bet the turn to get him to fold his weaker pairs, but he still calls. Then I hit the ace. I don´t bet because I don´t see him calling with worse. So I let him bluff, but what is he really bluffing here besides j9 or a weak pocket pair? I really thought about folding here for some time…

tbh i didnt like the way u played this hand. If u tell, that this player is very activ and very creative on the postflop game, A3o is a bad hand to play OOP against him. You dont have position, missed completely the flop and still making the pot bigger and bigger.

First of all I would fold A3 here and wait for a better spot. Its a weak hand, which is very hard to play postflop. You opponent has huge stack, where he wont give up after 1 or even 2 cbets. If u decide to play the hand, i would make a smaller 3bet… Something around 55k. Than i would cbet around 35% of flop like 50-55k and definetely shut it down on this ugly turn. I mean a T is definetely in his range and if not, Its a perfect card for him to bluff you.

Imo you just got lucky to hit this miracle Ace on river. In 90% of all other times you would just spew around half of you chips and end up folding on river (when no ace comes). And in 5% of all time he gonna have this flush, which arrived on river 😉 …

summing up: Bad spot to play vs creative BigStack. Very bad hand to play OOP vs creative BigStack. Bad turn to keep on firing. If you bet the turn, you have to push any rivercard i think. Otherwise the turnbet is very ugly

This is incredibly high variance. You probably have a big edge in a $4 tourney and don't need to go nuts like this after a failed squeeze. But you've got a lot of heart. smile

Agree with Rivermen I mean you are trying wayyyy too hard and it's completely unnecessary to squeeze here. The sizing isn't believable to be a made hand 3x is enough. You are going up against an aggro player with heaps of chips. Only going to get yourself in trouble here. 50+ bbs is plenty just wait to have it vs him and get your double up. Our edge in a $4 with 50+ bbs is much too big to give up in order to try some random sick line. Stick to the basics in micro-low stakes for the most part. But yes you def have heart! As played 1/3 pot cbet on the flop is enough as well and just shut down after that.
