Hi guys, just a general question for you guys.

I just started playing the $1 on demand Multi entry Rush tourneys on full tilt. Was wondering if anybody else has played these and how do they approach them?

seems to me that these are sooooo fishy. People 3 bet shoving with 30+bb with middle pocket pairs and AQ. Others calling preflop off 3 bet shoves with hands like 97s.

so how would/do you approach this. Just play tight and peddle the nuts preflop since everyone wants to gamble?

I play a ton of the $4.40 and sometimes the $11.  there is a big diff between those 2 so beware as I will describing the $4.40

Assuming you start from platying your solid tight aggr style as in your micros on pokerstars, I would adjust a few things:

1. 3bet less – there is a ton of super tight players in these rush just waiting for 3% top holdings and loving  to 4bet shove.  3 betting light here doesnt help as people will either 4 bet or call you most of the time if they opened just 3 bet with your top holdings they will call you to see if they hit.

2. Call more at the beginning of tourneys with speculative hands looking to stack fish when you flop 2 pair or better

3. Be aggresive on the bubble and Final Table bubble, they really super tighten up then and you can get a ton of chips at the expense of bubbling a few times

4. after 45 left or less start paying attention to those players opening a ton, they will come back to your tables often, and resteal from them or call them down when you hit

5. there is less of a need if any to balance your ranges as people dont pay attention, bett a bit bigger with good hands and bluffa bit smaller.

6. people will not 2 barrel most of the time and will fold to 2 barrels most of the time.

These are obv generalities to be considered but you need to adjust.

GL, let us know what you find out

They are great value, basically you want to play nitty tight. You will get paid off huge for your big hands. No reason to play weird stuff, just keep folding until you get what you are looking for and you'll get paid off.

I play these a lot as well. One thing that I suggest is to always see your hand through when in position! Even if you have 72o, don't hit the “Quick Fold” button. I get deep in these tourneys from stealing, everyone is so quick to fold anything but premiums just to make it to the next hand. There is a lot of value when raising in position. I know it is hard but always wait your turn before you act.  People get inclined to the speed of the game a have a hard time stopping the action, use this against them.
