Pre Flop: (3800.00) Hero has  Jheart Theart

fold, fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 3,200.00, fold, Hero calls 1,600.00

BTN is 8/8 with a 17% steal percentage – I put him on a tight range but I still think I have to call here with JT suited? Do you think a call is preferable to a shove or fold based on his tight stats? I am down to the last 14 players with ok money for final tablers, does this make it an easier fold?

Flop: (8600.00, 2 players)  8spade 9spade Jclub
Hero checks, BTN bets 5,134.00, Hero calls 5,134.00

I hate this call, BTN only Cbets 50% of the time and his bet screamed a decent hand to me in game, but I called to see what he would do on the turn, this is throwing away chips right? A smaller flop bet and I might have check raised, or check called with more confidence, but his bet was large enough to be protecting the pot?

Turn: (18868.00, 2 players)  2diamond
Hero checks, BTN bets 17,189.00 and is all-in

Anyone a) Still in at this point and if so b) calling his shove?

Cheers. Al.

Yeah shove over his bet. If he has AA, I think you are ahead. If not, you are flipping with overlay.

flatting pre is good. u have roughly 41% equity against a tight calling range if u chk/pile the flop. add in some FE and also random bad calls, its better then c/f bricked turns…. plus he cant bust us….

Thanks guys – I guess there's no point calling pre if I'm not willing to get it in on that sort of flop huh.

Cheers. Al.
