wow..very tough spot imo.  I know that 9s are the bottom of my range that I will call with when faced with a 3 bet jam.  I really think you are flipping here unless he is 3 bet jamming huge with 10/JJ/QQ.  I don't see hiim doing this with AA/KK because most will 3 bet smaller looking for value.  I really see A/k, maybe a/qs here.  I think it is a hand that he doesn't want to play post with.  This is such a huge 3 bet though…I would love to see what the pros say.  I think you are flipping here, but you never know.  I am surprised everyday with what villains turn over.   I know that this is the best of help..when were the blinds going up?  I know that the blinds were coming around to you, but if you elect to fold you have @25bb left.  What did you end up doing?

I would fold here unless I had seen him do this with less than 66 or less than A10os, and without any info on him I would also just fold.

Even before I read the outcome I was thinking easy fold.

His stack is just too big to be shipping it in with hands like 88. You have no info that’s telling you he’s light here. He just doesn’t have any reason to gamble with 38bb and people left to act. I think best case scenario here is he has AK,

I see a lot of this on FT micro stakes – 3bet jamming any stack with AA KK. At a push I would range him at AK AA KK QQ. Which makes even JJ an easy fold.

Just as an illustration, for you to be 50/50 and flipping against his range he has to have AT+ KQ 66+.

When a TAG 3bet ships 38bb out of the blue I would probably even fold QQ unless I felt like gambling

Once again Goliath comes through with the goods, I like your analysis I think even when I called I was like AK is best scenario even though it’s a small part of his range.
I just came off a nice 2nd place on ipoker and this was my last table so I was feeling a bit invincible which is bad and maybe even cost me 2k which for a small stakes grinder is huge…..sigh so yeah I agree with you it’s a fold.

Definite fold. From your read, this guy is too tight to do this with a smaller pair. He is a donk and doesnt know how to get value from big pairs. Befor I read result I was thinking JJ or QQ.
