Well, you can't really just call here given your stack size, you'll be left with less than a pot sized bet on the turn. So count that out IMO.
If he's shown the ability to three bet light and continue on the flop then i'd say ship it in there and hope for the best.
Again, IMO.
Edit: FWIW I'd probably elect to 4 bet shove preflop or fold rather than see a flop, curious to what the pro's think.
agreed – I'd rather 4bet than call and see flop, most flops are going to have overcards…
as played I'd shove over his flop bet – it seems to large to want to be called, but thats dependant on whether this is his normal bet sizing or not…..
wein – is this really a large 3bet? Its only 2.3 x our raise, is this large? I would have thought something close to 3x or higher would be considred large. Or are you refering to it compared to our stack?
My thoughts were to raise to 85k ish if we think he's light, and fold to jam – is this bad?
in this order preflop i would
fold>4bet jam>flat
The 3b of 5% range is 2:1 favourite against 77 and its a decent sample size of 100hands too
i'm guessing that when you refer to him using position on you a few times that was post flop and not pre-flop? (otherwise his 3bet% would be higher)
As played i dont really think jamming over his flop bet is the best line personally.
if we have him on a narrow range preflop (which he may or may not be) then he knows that any overpair that has him beat on this flop would have 4bet pre and think we're full of it.
I mean we're not playing JJ+ or even AK like this.
On the flop i think i'd fold given that he's less likely to believe us, he has already put in 1/3 of his stack, and we're risking our tourney life hoping that he has AJs+ or 88-TT and folds
Agree with hapetimes. I don't think you should ever be flatting this hand out of
position.
I think its a fold preflop most of the time to his 3bet
you are in “no mans land” post flop with your hand.
Also before you open the 77, you should know what you're going
To do if the SB ships in his stack(22 BBs is a perfect resteal stack)
and what you're going to do if the BB 3 bets you.
Side note: an additional option is to put in a small 4 bet to around 57k.
This accomplishes a number of things.
1) we polarize his range from possible bluffs to either
Upper strength if he 5 bets or upper med strength if he flats.
2) we save 30k on what would have been his flop bet and now we have a much
better idea of where we stand in the hand.
3) if he does flat hands like AJ,AQ, 55,66 or even hands that beat us like 99 or 1010, we have a 2nd opportunity
to shove the flop, with a more credible story. He can fold small and medium pairs on this board to a shove, AND his likely holdings AJ,AQ etc, don't get the chance to see all 5 cards to beat us.
just my two cents—HUNSUCKER

I'm not flatting here out of position against a very large 3bet here. If he shows that he is overly aggressive, I'd just shove the 77 here. If he hasn't, I just find a fold and move on to the next hand.
Agree 100%
You could also get cute and make a really big 4 bet that isn't a shove just to show him that he has no fold equity. Sometimes I think people might fold a hand like 88 or AJs/AQ if you do that versus just jam it in.
The big 4 bet looks stronger since people may think you would not jam your stronger hands and so their perceived range of you could be different facing a 4 bet vs. a shove.
Was this his normal 3 bet sizing? It looks very value heavy.
As played to me the most important stat is his 5% 3B over 100 hands. this is 99+ Ajs+ AKo, and KQs. so you are now faced with a 2-1 underdog spot to his range. even his non paired hands have a gutshot (except KQs). However, if you flatted I assume this flop is what you were looking for so just ship it and hope for the best.
