FT 55 in the SB facing opener and caller. Should I have set mined with 8BB?

G'evening TPE,

This may be a bit of a results oriented question, but I am wondering if I missed a spot here that you guys are taking.  $10 turbo, 14 players remaining, ITM, 7 handed (title is wrong, it's not FT)

UTG opener  (n=70) is playing 26/9 but limping 23% Cbet 2 times out of 4 and hasn't 3bet yet.

UTG+1 caller (n=46) is playing 32/13, limping 19%, 3betting 15.4%

The player in the BB, yet to act (n=51) is playing 35/15, limping 25%  I haven't seen him 3bet or resteal yet, but he hasn't been given much of a chance to show me.

Not great information, but it's something.

blufferTheDoctor (UTG): BB = 21.6, t86591
Jerr4964 (UTG+1): BB = 7.0, t27820
ace4pokerstar (MP): BB = 5.9, t23410

Pre Flop: (t8800) Hero is SB with 5 of hearts 5 of diamonds
blufferTheDoctor raises to t8000.00, Jerr4964 calls t8000, 3 folds, Hero?

I felt blufferTheDoctor was reasonably strong, as he seemed not the light UTG open raising type.  I could not make a good estimate of Jerr4964's call, but it was strange.  I do know my probable fold equity felt small if I was to push my meager 6BB over their 2BB.  Actually UTG opener looked more likely to fold than UTG+1 caller in this case.

If I was in the BB, with only 4000 to call, and I could have closed the action I would have called easily.

Instead I had to call 6000 with 24800 in the pot in the SB and another player to get through.  I had 30k behind and would be calling off one fifth of my stack.
If I didn't flop a set I would pretty much have to give up immediately.
What would you do?

Maybe a shove was more in order than I'm thinking.
But I chose to fold and preserve my stack as I figured 88% of the time I wouldn't have been inspired to write this post.

Thanks guys!

I would defintiely fold.  You should have 0 fold equity and you really don't want to play 55s in a 3 way allin.
