So I was playing a small MTT on UB tonight. My stack was about 4300 at 75/150 blinds. I open to 333 with AK utg. Utg + 3 makes it 1250 and it folds around to me. I have been playing with this guy for about an hour. I don't have HUD and don't know his exact stats but he wasn't getting too out of line and this was his FIRST 3 bet pre flop. I HATE just flatting and having to check/fold if I miss my ace or king and I think just 4 bet shoving here is really high variance giving the fact that I think he is hardly ever light here. I am pretty much ranging him on 10's to Aces. So I decide to just fold and save my 26ish BB stack for another spot. Now, even though the tourney is only a small $6 buyin, some people might say just shove it. BUT you can't be biased on the buyin level. Should be making the correct plays on any buyin level. I know they're very good players at there who just don't ever fold AK to single action. What do you guys think though?

if you think this is the first time he's 3bet, and you genuinely think he's been really tight, I don't mind the fold too much.
If there is any information to point towards him not being a nit, I get in AK here always.
I know this doesn't help, but that's my thoughts on this situation 🙂
Just wondering if the cards were face up and he showed you JJ would you fold. It's one of those spots were really I'd go with the voices in my head. Could argue either way. If its a huge field and your not playing your A game I might race. If you've been playing well I can see folding. Totally a judgement call my friend.
