It was a $65 tourney, villain is good reg. And I know the flat is terrible but RockyRichard had been opening like this alot and I really wanted . We were deepstacked. My goal was to get HU so I shouldve 3bet, but I didnt…aside from the preflop. How would you play this post? The donk lead by a good player can be a set or draw…Im confused…At the time it felt like he had JT or set…or bluff?

i quickly ofpr villain and i did not find any reasoning to call him a good reg. but anyway. lets talk about the hand and assume he is good.

if he is good then his donk lead can mean a lot. given the way he plays the turn i most likely set or two pair and probably KJss sometimes.

Just dont know why he should c/r KJss instead of betting or ch/call and bet river.

i probably fold because getting this in vs a good player you are always crushe imho.

gonna work bit more on ranges an stuff later when i have more time

cheers

villain is actually a new friend of mine and he is quite good, not a sicko, but a solid regular

he told me today that he had TT so it was a good fold. i could see 99,TT,JJ in his flatting range if he was trying to be tricky

“At the time it felt like he had JT or set…or bluff?”

Based on your read I don't like betting the turn.  If he has JT he may call, but then again he may check-raise and put you in this same spot.  If he has a set you definitely want to keep the pot small, and if he has a bluff you want to give him another chance.

I check behind turn with the intention of calling most rivers.
