Hey ,
No reads.
When v checks flop and turn , i discounted strongh hands from there range , there range looks weak. They may have a hand like 8x or maybe they picked up a heart draw on the turn at the very least.
my question is would u make a modest bluff in this spot or a ambitious bluff?
i'm just confused , since i know that villians range is weak and if thats the case there was no need for me to bet more then half a pot on the river, i should of made a underbet, right?
The reason why i went for a larger bet wa because i was tryng to get them of an 8x.
if However i wa going for an ambitous bluff , under betting would obv be incorrect since i'm trying to make them fold a strong hand so my sizing has to be bigger.
I consider the turn a number 4 spot , so i'm prettty much betting all my air here , as for the river i'd consider it also a number 4 spot.
thoughts on this?

I agree with turn being a 4 spot (though don't forget there's another player in the hand who hasn't acted yet, so you haven't seen both players check twice). River is less good, though I'd still bet with your hand. I think you should go modest, though. I don't think V is likely to have an 8 after checking twice, and if he does I doubt he folds, so I'd just try to get him off of 4s and busted draws.

Quick question here. You are saying he is weak and I agree on that. And I would have most probably attacked the pot like you did.
However, looking at the board, it is very likely he hit something.
My question is though, how do we look at it from that perspective and how do we structure our plan?
Do we go by his back to back checks and bluff? If so, how do we not think at some point that he has a good hand and trapping, especially when we dont know about villain’s tendencies?
I personally would have just flatted here with the mid and top of my range in this scenario from small blind as I am not a fan of leading when Im out of position because it pays more to be concealed from the blinds. Im telling this because you said he would have raised if he had a strong hand.
I am just having difficulty discounting hands immediately when I dont know about the villain.

hey mate , In genreal when your opponents checks flop and turn it that gives away the strength of their hand. Their range looks more towards air and at best maybe marginal , maybe checking it down with a hand like QTs , Q9s , A4s, 55 and stuff like that.
yeah sometimes they might be slow playing with a strong ass hand , but most often then not , we will be able to take it down with a small bet on the turn we only need them to fold 25% of the time for our bet to be profitable , your bluffing range should be wide in this spot.

Never,
Have you seen my Hand Reading series? I think it will help you with some of this. Anyway, even if you can’t eliminate strong hands, bluffing can still be correct. It’s a lot easier to make a weak hand than a strong one, and as “folding” said, a small bluff doesn’t need to work very often.
