Hi guys, I was playing the weekly wednesday 6 handed $126 tourney on full tilt and hated how this hand developed when in the late middle stage when I had a good pile of chips. Would love to hear how I went wrong and what you think he had.
My HUD said I had around 30VPIP and PFR, and marln5555 had been at the table for less than 10 hands and I have no history with them.
Big blind:160
(Me)14milkman: 19,264 [SB] — marln5555: 12,481 [UTG+1]
marln5555 opens to 320, the button calls, I 3-bet to 755 with AJ, marln5555 and button call.
Flop: 67A
I c-bet 1600 and marln5555 calls, button folds.
Turn: K
I check, marln5555 bets 1760 into the pot of 5745, I call.
River: 4
I check, marln5555 bets 4240 into pot of 9265, leaving 4126 behind. I fold.
Thanks to any replies!

Do you have a calling range from the SB ? because I do, but some other players dont…Anyway I would just call pre flop and then probably just call 3 streets (game flow, sizes and many other factors are to be considered thoug)
If you dont have a flatting range from the SB well first of all just 3bet bigger, i would say something like 820…then i think i ll probably play it like you did =)

I think 3bet pre is fine, because AJo isn't going to play particularly well OOP in a 3-way pot but it has good blockers. However, I think your 3bet sizing is way too small. This would be a good sizing for a 3bet in a heads-up pot in position, but it's much too small here. Generally as a squeeze I would go something around 3x IP and 3.5x OOP, so a good sizing here would be around 1000-1100.
The reason for this is that the first player in these spots, the OR, is almost always going to be aware that if he calls, the guy behind him is getting great odds and will probably also call, so when you're this deep-stacked, if you make it small like this, the OR is very rarely going to fold. You need to make it bigger so that you can at least get heads-up vs the button, or take it down preflop entirely. Going to a flop OOP vs two villains is the worst outcome here.
Postflop, however, I actually really like your line. Cbet is very standard, c/c turn is good with our heart draw, and on the river it's really tough to put anything in his range that we actually beat, so I think I like the fold. Apart from the 3bet sizing, nice hand. 🙂
