My image is very loose, there are 3 players sitting out and I've been trying to take advantage of that (successfully so far), otherwise the rest of the table has been extremely tight.

Villain in BB is 18/10/4 over 50 hands and had previously 3bet me once from BB and I gave him credit and folded TT from the CO.

During this hand I was concerned about AJ on the flop, so I decided to check the turn for deception/pot control…… then a 9 ball hits the river, completing the KQ straight draw and he leads out. The only Jacks I'm now beating are QJ, J8 and J7 if he is playing it (doubtful though) plus AK, AQ that had gutshot/overs on the flop.

Call or fold the river bet????

i think you have played it well up to this point, but you are right, i think that 9 is a horrible card for you. QJ is about the only possible hand that villain might take this line with that you beat. and even then its doubtful

kind of a sucky  spot but i think its a fold

Eh – it's a marginal call at best.

I'd also be looking to raise more preflop with a limper and such deep stacks. This keeps the BB from getting decent implied odds to peel a lot of flops against you.

I dont mind the smaller sizing in position. OOP and I might bump it up a bit more

Thanks for the comments guys.

Yeah, I think it's a bit of a flip, sometimes i'm in front, sometimes not….. But considering how active I had been and the way I played the hand I decided to make the call…… surprised he didn't 3bet preflop…..

In terms of my raise preflop, my standard here is 425 plus a BB for the limper so 575

Yeah, I was really surprised to see him show up with AK here as well, especially after the UTG+2 limps and I isolate the limper….. A nice spot for him to pump up a 4bet…..
