Villains very first hand at this table. What you think is best on turn here? How about sizing? What can we range him when he c/c flop then c/r this turn?
Villain has 9k behind after his turn raise.

I like your bet sizing on both flop and turn, i probably play it the same way.
When he goes for the check/raise hhhmmm………. First hand on the table wow, no reads, I think his range is pretty wide here… First off i think standard would be he cbets AA, KK, QQ, AQ on the flop, so i probably put those hands in the unlikely side of his range, besides you would want to bet those to protect/value them as the board is draw heavy. His range JJ, KJ, TT, 44, QJ, T9, J8, Js?s(Jack spades with another spade??) AsKs, AsTs???, 8s7s, you have the 9spades so that takes out the As9s combo.
I think you can call the turn bet and see what happens on the river. I'm not folding my set of 9's just yet, however i think you facing a shove on any river.
Be interested to see what other posters say about this spot.

I'd take AA/KK/AQ out of his range because I do think he'd want to cbet and protect them on this flop. HOwever, I won't take QQ out. Lots of players will slow play a huge set like that even with a drawy board.
AsKs/44/AsJs/JJ is also very possible here.
I'm going to guess he doesn't have KJ and def not 8J for the turned straight given his EP open.
Given the likely hands there actually is a good chance you're behind to QQ but i think it's balanced enough by AsKs/44/AsJs/JJ as well as the times this unknown has some nonsense in his range we don't even see.
