This is a $27 Bovada MTT, one of the contender event thingies, 14 left.
I thought front loading was better here, despite villain having a decent amount of air in their range. It is a flop that my flatting range pre can hit pretty hard (obviously), and I think if I’m ever check raising this is a hand I want in that range. I could possibly do this with a bare 8, 9, or 4 as well.
I’ve been fairly aggressive at this table so far, and most people have seemed willing to let me do as I please. So I thought image wise it was a good spot to raise as well.
A couple questions:
-How’s my sizing?
-What do we think of villain’s range when he flats?
-If I’m ever bluff raising the flop, I think this turn card would be one I’d continue with?
Checking and jamming both came to mind as well.

Definitely a good hand to check-raise. The amount of air Villain could have is rarely a determining factor in how you play the nuts – that’s not usually the most important part of his range. You should raise bigger, though, as you are offering Villain better than 3:1 to call your check-raise. If you were raising here with some sort of bluff, you wouldn’t be putting him to much of a decision. There’s no reason to stop betting on the turn, if Villain has a 4 he won’t fold it, and if he doesn’t, he’ll be happy to take a free card. The only merit in checking would be to induce a bluff from an 8, which (a) you block and (b) again air/bluffs isn’t the most important part of his range for you to focus on.
