This is 20E 1rebuy 1 addon 6max.

Its around 15 players left. starting 200.

The table is 5handed and there is a strong players utg who open 2,1x. He has around 80BB. Im in the SB with 66. I also have around 80BB.

Blinds 500/1000. I call and flop comes J63sss.

I check and he cbet 1/2 pott. I think there is alot of air in his range. Aswell as pairs and flushdraws. We are pretty deep so i dont wanna check raise and go for my stack.

So i call.

Turn i Ax. I check to make him 2barrel. The Ace is a good card for him to continue his air and he allways will bet all times he paired the ace.
But he checks. So i think he has something that he probly wanna check down.

River is a 4x.

Now i guess i have the best hand alot of times. So i bet around 7,5k into 12k.(Maybe should have bet more to make it look like a busted draw?)

He raises to 25k. What do i do?

The villian is a strong player, over 100k$ profit( that is alot in the euroservers, we dont have big events like Pokerstars and Full tilt have). He is confident and aggresive and goes deep allmost all tours he plays.

I mean i have a set here, but what hand can i put him on that is a bluff?  Or is this the spot when i just call and see that he overplayed AJ/A3 or some other random 2 pair?

could he be putting YOU on some sort of As type hand that you are now trying to bet for value but he thinks you will fold if raised?

So what you are saying is that call is the best play?

i check raise the flop and prolly never fold if hes flopped the flush then thats life, ive said it before and will say it again and this is a Quote from Doyle Brunson “if i flop a set someones getting a payday either me or my opponent” so check raise and lead the turn and if you get it in on the turn pray for the board to pair, im never playing these spots this passive and letting myself get four flushed.

Just three spades on the board at the end right? He does not play it like a flopped flush. I am calling on the river.

Should we be reshoving the river here? Villain would try and get more value if he flopped a flush or a set and also wanted to protect his hand from being outdrawn.

Reasons for villain to check back the turn and then raising the river is:

– that he flopped the (nut) flush and thought a bet on the turn would scare you away (especially if he had the nut flush holding an ace blocker);

– he held 44 and rivered a set;

– he held either 75 or 52 and rivered a gutter

– …?

Snap call the river and re-raising is absolutely pointless. Your hand is absurdly under-repped.
