This is an $11 ACR freezeout.
This is the fourth or fifth time villain has 3bet me at this table.
Given that information, maybe ATo can be a call here, as I don’t think it is absurd to put worse suited tens or aces in his range. I don’t expect it to play super easy post flop however.
ATo is the best hand I’d think twice about folding here. I decided to turn my hand into a bluff. A couple questions.
How’s my sizing pre?
What is the post flop plan?
If effective stacks were shorter, or had raised slightly larger pre, jamming the flop seems nice.
What do we do if villain checks and turn is a brick?
Thank you!

I don’t think the fact that V has 3-bet you before should influence your range terribly much. Against a large button 3-bet, ATo should be a pretty standard fold. Just because he could have worse doesn’t change the fact that he has all combos of better, and there are a lot of combos of better. I don’t hate 4-betting, it’s better than folding, but I think suited Ace combos are better, and if you do it with lots of suited Aces plus ATo, you are going to end up with a really weak/wide 4-betting range. Spazzing into aggressive 3-betters does not really punish them. Often, in fact, it gives them exactly what they want.
As played, I think bet smallish (~1K) planning to fold to a shove or to jam most turns if called.

Joel,
Are you assuming V has 3-bet 9 times because his 3-bet is 9% over 100 hands? Because that’s not what the 3-bet number measures. It’s (number of 3-bets)/(number of opportunities to 3-bet). So in pots where no one raised in front of him, he didn’t have a chance to 3-bet, and that hand won’t count towards the denominator.
