No reads on villlain, just from the flop play he looks rather fishy, do you jam turn even blocking so much of the valuerange? On the river do we ever have the option to fold our set? 5 euro rebuy tournament ( sry but I couldn’t get the hh converter to convert for some reason)

The river is a half pot shove but jacks seem very common in his range, do we ever fold ANY hands we arrive at this river with? (also a strange question since I doubt there exists another hand we play like this)

iPoker – 500/1,000 NL – Holdem – 8 players

Hi, the villain’s turn bet seems so weak to me that I think your idea to jam the turn could have ended the hand.  Or raise the turn?

I wonder what percentage of his range is two pair on the river.

Folding the river doesn’t seem like a disaster as you still have about 30BB.

this was pretty much my reasoning for not jamming turn, but maybe that’s too greedy if I’m getting value from Jx either way, it’s hard to tell where villain is at throughout every part of this hand

Should definitely jam turn IMO. The question to ask is not, “Might he fold?” Of course he might. He also might fold the river. Or improve on the river. The question to ask is whether the money is going to go in better now or on the river. Given that several rivers will drastically reduce the value of your hand, not to mention that Villain will often have a draw that will either improve or be worthless on the river, this is a spot to get the money in while you’re still good. If he’s weak, he’s weak. The river probably wont’ change that, at least not in a way that’s favorable to you. Have you seen my Getting Paid series? Covers this theory in a lot of depth.

Good recommendation, I’ll put it on my list for things to watch tomorrow!

Anyway I just ended up clicking the whatever I call button and he showed up with K10o for pretty much the worst two pair hand he could have. I went on to get 2nd in the smallish tournament so I’m now slightly less in the hole I’ve dug myself into over christmas, probably still down something like 1,5k but it’s a step in the right direction
