Floating the Flop, Strange action on the turn

This hand from last night's session has been bugging me. Villain had been fairly aggressive and tricky and I had the feeling he wanted to be table captain. I had 3 bet him once from from the BB soon after I was moved to the table with AQ. He had called in LP and I had taken the pot with a c-bet.

In this hand, I wouldnt usually float the flop with so little scope to improve, but his flop bet looked weak – I thought he probably had overcards and I might be able to take it on the turn. The 7d on the turn looked pretty safe and again his bet looked weak, so I put in the reraise. I wasnt expect his re-re-reraise. Any thoughts on what the hell is going on in this hand?

Id say whatever he has he's ready to take it to the house, more than likely an over pair imo…AspadeXspade is also possible. I definatly am never jamming here w/out some sort of sick read, which leaves a snap fold as our only option. Not sure if this helps you?

I think your line is fine. However his is very strong I think this is a pretty easy fold. Unless there is some metagame here that im not aware of I dont see any options besides fold.

Folding 100% of the time here. You took a shot at gettig him off the hand and allthough his 4bet is light you got Q high with no draws. Time to muck and next time he comes into a hand punish him (ie squezze, 3 and 4 bet a little heavier preflop with a little wider range A10s+, 88+, adding 56s, 78s, 89s, to 3bet ). Most of the time you will have position so between that and the mentioned plays should be a matter of time before you reel him in.
