Ok I’m sitting at the table with 23bb on the 4.40 progressive knockout on stars in the sb. blinds were 3k 1.5 k. I just moved to this table also.
Mp1 flats mp 2 flats cut off flats so I have to pay 1.5k to see a flop so I decided to
Flop comes Q hearts 8 spades 4 spades everyone checks so I check to see a free card
Turn comes and its 8 diamonds mp1 checks mp 2 bets 1/3 rd of the the pot cut off folds I call bb folds mp1 folds
River comes 2 spades so I have a K high flush so I bet 2/3 of the pot and get shoved on in seconds I’m always calling his shove with over 30k in the pot and I have around 80k and he flips over pocket 2s for the full boat 2s over 8s and I go bust
Can you evaluate my play and if I should of shoved on the flop seems like a tough spot for me. Ty

So real quick what two cards were you holding and what position were you? I know you had K high flush and It seems like you were on Button?
With 23BB I would be hesitant to just limp into the pot. Without knowing your kicker these are my thoughts.
In this position with 23 BB I would be looking to chip up ASAP and limping into a pot isn’t ideal with K weak kicker, if this is the case(if you had K with face card I would definitely be raising and getting these limpers to fold). I would only be limping maybe with small pockets and suited connectors that flop well. On Flop you had flush draw and check behind which is fine. On turn when Villain bets 2/3 pot I think your just hoping to hit a Flush and if you miss your left with 15 BB approx. I seriously think that limping into a pot and calling on a draw on the turn with a pretty shallow stack is fishy. On river when you hit the K high flush its hard to let it go so there isn’t much you can do there.
IMO with 23bb wait for steal spots and 3 bet shoves so you can get more chips so you can actually play post flop. Especially in a Progressive Knockout on stars, there is so many limpers/fish that will call off with terrible hands.

There’s not enough info here for us to provide good feedback. We need to know your hole cards, position, player reads, etc. Your call on the river sounds like a mistake on a paired board but since you didn’t say exactly how much villain had or how much they shoved for, it’s impossible to say.
