In a tournament where blinds are 500-1000 with deep stacks, I find that a lot of the times people flat call for a $1000 in early to mid positions. What does this usually mean. From my experience it usually varies. Suppose I have A Q or Lower to mid pockets in the button , cutoff or highjack, how do i play such hands given someone has flat called. Do I raise, do i call? If i Raise how much?

Insight would be great

Thanks

Again you covered so much in this question there are multiple answers for every part of it. In general tho when blinds are 1k. If you going to play a pot and its on you and its unopened and your deep enough. I would no be flat calling (limping) with AQ or a small pp. As for how much you should raise I think its a good idea to always raise the same amount in any given level. So if its 500 1000 if you decide your standard raise is 2250 then every time you have a hand to open whether it be AA or 27 off 2250.

RedRaidersTT,

appreciate the discussion you are generating in the forum.  Can you give a particular instance or HH for this?  I think once you do that, we’ll be able to answer your question better.

from what I gather are you asking about squeezing ranges?

If so its all table dynamic dependent, and stack sizes. So you would deff have to add more info

Oh I just re-read….Is there an edit option? lol

But anyway, I think he means if someone is limping from mid position and you pick up a decent hand in position. correct?
