Hey guys first post on TPE but I've been through almost alll the vids, so lets see how bad I really am…

So isoing pre here, guy was pretty loose/passive and villian 3-bets like instantly.  Is flatting ok here?  Prolly not my std but got one of those “flops well” hands…  villian running 21/4 with no 3-bet over 36 hands.

Any arguement for folding or betting turn?

BTW love everything about the new HH converter.  Baller status.

I'd fold pre.  I think it only flops well if you flop a flush.  Otherwise you're almost always only getting money in when you're behind.

As played can't call the turn unless you call the river.  ~You need 1/4.5 which is probably enough but most of the time you're toast here with this sizing.  I'd probably just fold turn even with TP for that reason.

Yeah, AJs doesn't really flop that well to be honest.

Hands that better fit into the “flops well” category would be JTs, 78s, 89s, J9s … basically middle suited connectors plus JQs and KQs.

By flopping well we mean not only those hands ability to connect well with flops by making hands such as 2 pair and strong draws but we also mean these hands are very easy to play post-flop against the range of hands most players raise and call with. You'll either connect well or you won't.

Hands like AJ, KJ, KT, AT … those types of hands fall into the cautionary category because you can often flop top pair and still be far behind.

Anyways …

You can make a case for flatting pre in position and look to flop a flush draw, 2 pair, blah blah blah … I probably just pitch it, though. I'd rather call in your spot with 89s than AJs here any day.

I definitely would not put in a raise pre here.

I'm ok with isolating limper pf, but I don't like calling 3b there… You have a hand that easily could get you in trouble, if you flop an A or J and get action I doubt u will be good, also you will have a lot of trouble folding if you hit A, so essentialy you are setting up yourself to get stacked… Also, stacks isn't that deep and implied odds are very short, and you are oop… If I suspect that villain is making a play here with 3b, I would make a smaller 4b sometimes just to preserve my image, and fold to a shove…

Exactly that happen, you turned your hand, and now you don't know what to do… Also u invested more than 30% of your stack…

I guess leading the turn is the best, because it gives you a more information of villains hand than check/calling and also u get to set the price… If called, I guess u have to check/fold river, or you can make small blocking bet and try to showdown cheap…

As played, his line just screams AK, so I guess you have to fold river… Although with such a great odds 4 to 1 on river call, I could call just for sake of noting to myself that I should fold preflop….

yea i think here we def have to fold pre. AJs looks pretty but it can get very ugly. u would have to crush the flop to continue, FD, xJJ. those are the only ways when i think we should continue.

to add, villain has no 3bet history over a short sample but with no reads we have to play cautiously. best way to play is fold pre.

I wont got through hand and tell you if you are behind or ahead, i will just tell you something  to avoid a marginal situations with a marginal hand that at most time you will be domineted avoiding calling 3bet with AJ at this situation , because an Ace you might get more trouble that you think that often you will be dominated so i fold pre.

early people arnt three betting light and your not going to hit the flop that often and even when you hit your top pair you can easily be dominated or up against an over pair.

I would definatley just fold pre unless you have a read hes three betting super light then i guess you  could 4bet but idl 4betting light early so much.
