hey yall,

just had a quick question in FT spot.

5 players left, blinds at 1.5k/3k i have about 11 BB left. Button min raises to 6k. SB folds, I am in the big blind with K10 off. and shove figuring he could be raising light, he calls and shows 88. board misses despite a QJ on the flop.

Is that the correct play? or fold and wait for a better spot?

Thanks,

That's what I would normally do in that spot.   I guess it depends on where you were on the payout ladder.   With 11 BB's, I'm assuming you were near the last, so you'd want to double up or go home.

For the best answer to this and knowledge moving forward, go back and get the full details of the table stacks/payouts when this hand started and run it through ICMIZER.

You'll be told to make some surprisingly tight folds sometimes – way tighter than the avg. reg understands, thankfully.

seems pretty standard to me.

bear in mind villain is most probably opening slightly tighter given you only have 11bb, like i dont think he is opening 86o, but still KT is plenty good enough and you are still ahead of some of his rc range, like JT and QT/QJ, so its fine
