Hey,
Reads – V is a good reg , on the final table he's not been active as such since he's pretty short, however he did shove the previous hand in LP. when he shoves from the BTN his range is going to wide as u all know , my question is do we ever call here? is it ev+?

let’s assume villain is shoving 34% of hands from the button here are the results below.

we’re getting 1.3 to 1 which means we need 43.5% equity for this to be a profitable call. ICM takes a part into it , but i’m not sure how that works.

Equity Win Tie
BU 55.27% 53.48% 1.80% { 22+, A2s+, K6s+, Q6s+, J7s+, T8s+, 97s+, 87s, A2o+, K9o+, Q9o+, JTo }
SB 44.73% 42.93% 1.80% { QsJd }

we’ve got 44.74% equity against this shoving range. If he’s shoving tighter then this then it’s a fold , however given that he’s only got a CSI (chip status index) of 3 he probably is shoving wider then this, doubt it would be any tighter then the range i’ve given unless of course u had reads that he’s that tight..

cheers.

This is a call vs. his shove range, however, at a final table there is a lot more to consider. I don't mind a fold in this spot (in fact I do fold) and keep our nice stack for way better scenarios. Being a good player with that stack you have an edge, you don't have to take every spot. The fun has just begun and people will make mistakes that you will be able to crush.

Disregarding the FT factors, I think a call with QJo might be a tad on the -EV side. Dont quote me on that though, this is what my standard calling range is in this spot;

44+, A3s+, A7o+, K9s+, KTo+, QJs
