Merge has a new HH system and it's not working right now on our hand converter.  But I'll describe the hand, which isn't complicated.

6 players remain in a 1$ rebuy/addon, the big stack villain has 24BB at 2000/4000/400, I am one of the short stacks with 7BB before my BB is posted.  So far I have only 60 hands on villain, but he is playing 27/21 with 0% open limp, 40% steal. Scarce info on fold to donk bet but he did do it once.

Button: P1: 7BB

SB: P2: 15BB

BB: Hero: 7BB

UTG: P4: 20BB

UTG+1 Villain: 24BB

CO: P6: 16BB

My hand is QheartJheart

Blinds/antes posted

Villain opens into me for his usual 9,600 making the pot 18,000. Everyone else has folded.  I don't believe he is so tight here, probably a semi-decent opening range that I am slightly behind.  Pocket pairs, AX, KX, Q8o+, Q5s+, J7s+, J9o+ and some speculative hands.  The problem is I don't think I have any fold equity here preflop, while my hand flops well, and that I do believe I have some fold equity on a flop shove.  I call for 5,600 with the intention of pausing and shoving almost all flops.  If I land quad queens I’ll check. Is this reasonable?

Or am I misunderstanding how to use a stop n go?  I could see if maybe you're only supposed to do this if your stack is larger than the opener's and that his stack looks kind of like mine does here?

You're not going to have a lot of post-flop fold equity either, so I don't think it really matters much whether you shove pre or on the flop.

Agree w Andrew…. But I feel like there is a higher chance he folds after missing a flop vs folding pre after he opened. At a small stake tournie like this I think you’ll see this mistake enough to make it possibly a better way to get it in. I like the call shove flop. Shoving 100% of flops.
