Trying to uncover the profitability of 3 barrelling…..i figured this was a pretty good spot to try to set one up vs a buy playing 31/23 with a 50% WTSD%.
Agree/Disagree that besides 88, this was the only hand hes ever calling this river with? Figure flush draws fold out that turn really often.

im confused…when we triple barrell its either for extreme value from fish or barrelling with air to get them off their hand. u have wat is possibly the best hand but its kinda thin to get 3 streets. so lets get to showdown while getting value from FD, SD, and worst pairs.
i think i just cb flop, bet or c/c turn, re eval river.
i'm a bit confused with the terminology (being pedantic)
imo triple barrell is being the preflop aggressor and firing 3 streets whether its in or out of position, and not check calling at any point
your line does look kinda strong to me, check raising a turn that really doesnt change anything always does
however – the question is; what is the purpose of your turn c/r and river jam?
is it for value? or are we turning our hand into a bluff?
b/c value doesnt make any sense unless he calls us with A high, 77 or 44 which is almost certainly unlikely give your line and the board run-out
yea, u didnt cb flop or bet turn so youre not triple barrelling. c/c flop and c/r turn looks really strong. it might be fine like this against extreme stations who wont know wtf is going on and will call with so many worse hands but…..well, he is 31/23 and cud call with one pair Ax hands if hes really fishy post. i still dont like the line though.
and really, i prob prefer to 3b squeeze for value pre. theres a decent amount of chips if they fold and they still will call with worse.

+1 to this. my exact thoughts when reading this post was “I 3b jam this all day.” you really don't want to flat pre in this spot against 2 players and 3b/folding is out of the question. Ripping it in and getting folds increases your stack by 5700 chips which is roughly a 17% increase. Just too good of a spot to 3b jam. Give them the ol' stuffy baker!
hey guys
thanks for the input i really appreciate it. my thinking on the turn was “i have the best hand wayy too often here and I should have done something on the flop.” so my turn raise was with intentions to get it in, and shove river no matter what card hits, because alot of the cards that are going to hit on the river are going to be cards he has to fold a jam too. (unless he has a flush obviously).
So i figured if a spade hits the river and i just bet big, its going to look less strong than if i raise the turn (which i could do with a flush draw anyways) then jam the draw when it hits on the river.
I really dont think hes calling with any other hand than he had…just because when the 6 hits the turn and I raise, it looks very suspicious obviously if he has 66. But still i think he should have folded.
All in all, I agree with squeezing preflop and taking different action on the flop. Its really good that I got some feedback from here. I posted the same hh in 2+2 and they also had alot to say about it. Im glad that I didnt continue on for days or even months thinking that this was the best way to play them. I now obviously know I wasnt thinking like I should have been.
