UTG: 4,996 (167 bb)
UTG+1: 4,996 (167 bb)
MP: 4,996 (167 bb)
MP+1: 4,996 (167 bb)
CO: 4,996 (167 bb) 50/50 4 hands
BU (Hero): 4,831 (161 bb)
SB: 4,966 (166 bb)
BB: 4,996 (167 bb)

Pre-Flop: (77) Hero is BTN with K A
4 players fold, CO raises to 120, Hero 3-bets to 360, 2 players fold, CO calls 240

Flop: (797) A T 6 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets 399, CO calls 399

Turn: (1,595) 2 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets 808, CO raises to 1,755, Hero calls 947

River: (5,105) 8 (2 players)
CO bets 2,478 (all-in), Hero calls 2,313 (all-in)

Readless but opp seems fishy.

Preflop 3bet is mendatory given the positions if the villain was opening from UTG for example I flat AK (probably wrong approach for 1$ tour? please advise)

OTT those minraises are confuse me( from my CG experience I learnt that are usually nutted however on tourneys I am not sure how to deal with them) Any how I decided to call and call any river bet in case draws missed.

Ok plan overall ?

Any how I decided to call and call any river bet in case draws missed.

One good sentence regarding that came in one of the recent videos. When facing a play from your opponent and evaluating his bluffs, ask yourself how often did YOU bluff in this spot.

Let’s say V has a monster draw with KcQc . How often did you flat-call on the flop, min-check-raise on the turn and shove the river?

With the way the hand was played, pre & flop looks fine.

On the turn, V basically reps the nuts. 2d is the most blank turn you can ask for. Him check-raising turn reps two pair or better.

If you this he’s doing it with a draw – go all in on the turn. You don’t want to give him one more card so cheap to complete his draw. Calling is the worst play here.

Hey thanks for the reply!

The think is that on micros people do crazy stuff I have seen a lot doing this move with a weak A ott when draws missed and think that their weak Ax is ok. however as you said if I believe that I should shove turn but I thought better to call  to keep his range wide.

I probably just fold turn, to be honest. You’re reaching a leverage point where the pot is getting huge, you have very little clarity regarding villain’s range, and you’re very likely to face a river all-in on almost any river. There’s very little incentive to play large pots early on in the tournament – it sounds weird, but I think that even if you told me this spot was +5bb in chipEV, I might still fold turn. There’s a huge disadvantage to calling off stacks early on like this, unless it’s a very large gain in chipEV.

I understand Matt’s reasoning. However, in a $1 tourney from my experience players are thinking at a very low level. They don’t read hands very well or think about what they represent or what their opponents can have. I have seen opponents take this line with a lot of Ax which is not two pair. I have also seen just random things like bluffing for the rush without any equity. There are so many “what are u doing?” moments at showdown I would consider calling more in a $1 and $2 tourney but fold at higher stakes than these especially in the Pokerstars $1 tournaments where you can just rebuy in the registration period.
