What would you do on the turn vs. the raise? And what do you think about sizing on the flop and turn?

I think you should be asking a different question. I think the question to be asking is whether you should be opening with a raise from MP1 with ATo? I would say no. When very early in a tournament with 200 BB I believe in playing very tight. You’re mostly playing small pots, and I don’t want to get into a big pot with a marginal hand.
I think the opening range from MP1 this deep should be 77+, ATs+, AQo+, KTs+, QTs+, 9Js+, 98s, and I might play slightly tighter than that this early and with this many BBs. Regardless, ATo seems too light to open from MP1. It seems to me that opening with this hand, you are hoping simply to take down the blinds. If you get 3bet do you really want to call preflop? I wouldn’t. And when you do flop an ace, you still don’t feel great about it postflop with AT, which is undoubtedly why you bet so small after the flop and turn and then folded to a re-raise after your turn bet. AT seems like a hand that gets you in trouble opening from fairly early position.
I think you are right to some degree rppoker. This is what my preflop open range looks like from MP: AA-66,AKo-AJo,KQo,AKs-A2s,KQs-K9s,QJs-Q9s,JTs-J9s,T9s-T8s,98s,87s,76s.
As you can see, AJ is the weakest off suit ace I usually play from this position. It’s literally on the cusp, I think I just got carried away. I am working on remembering my ranges without having to look at my charts and when I played this hand I don’t think it’s a huge mistake but it’s definitely something I will have to work harder at.
I think it’s all a matter of preference here, and how well we can play post flop. Let’s say I had AJo or even AQo. I don’t know that I would be willing to call a river bet. With AJo I think I might just fold on the turn, and with AQo I think maybe I would call the raise and then fold on the river to any further aggression.
ATo can definitely get you in trouble postflop. I think that’s great if you wouldn’t play it in this spot, it’s probably better not to when you’re just starting out because like you said, it can get us into trouble postflop. **Also, I am glad you pointed out the early stages part, something(admittedly) I overlooked, there’s no antes yet. This is something I need to work harder at. Thank you for pointing that out rppoker.
As for sizing, I am working out the kinks to something new, where I am betting smaller. I think I need to adjust my sizing a little bigger though. Maybe 33% on the flop, maybe a little bigger like 45-50% on the turn. What do you think would be a better size for both streets?

I like 50%. If I were more experienced and much more confident of my postflop play compared to other good opponents I could see lowering it to 40%. For now I lean toward 50%. Whatever you decide, you should bet your big hands and your bluffs using the same sizing so as not to be exploitable as a newer player. At least that’s how I do it.
