We are still very deep, tournament's been running for 1h.
Blinds 60/120 no ante. I got 9400 (85BB) and sit in the SB.
UTG+1 (94BB) opens for a minraise. He hasn't been playing many hands. UTG+2 (60BB) calls. He has been the most active on the table, playing aggro postflop as well.
It gets folded to me and I decide to flat my A9, planing to fold if I only hit my ace and the UTG+1 opener bets big or 2-barrals flop and turn.
Flop comes AJ9, no .
Pot is 840, I check.
The initial opener bets 360.
UTG+2 raises to 1075.
I wonder what he might do this with. I put him on AK, AQ, J9 or QT with maybe backdoor flushdraw. I think it's unlikely for him to have trip Jacks, his range is very wide and he would have probably 3bet pre as he seems like kind of a spew. 999 is very unlikely since we have the 9
The initial raiser I could have anything like 66+ to AJ+ (which I fear the most).
I decide to 4bet for value and to protect my hand and to reevaluate on the turn and take control, mostly because I think the UTG+2 player is very well capable of semi-bluffraising with a draw or any Ax hand.
I make it 1920, IF any of them shoves now, I would let go of my hand, that was my plan.
Both just call, the turn is 7. This should change nothing, one of the best turns I can hope fo I guessr. I decide to go with my hand, if they have AJ or a set: GG.
Pot is now 6600, I got 7300 left.
I didn't shove (I wonder why, maybe I though I might get value from strong one-pair aces like AQ, AK, but in retro I am not sure if it's a good idea. Any suggestions?).
So I bet 2940. The UTG+1 raiser calls, The UTG+2 folds.
River is 5. I shove and get called.
Any ideas on how it was played? I was close to folding when I saw that flop raise from the UTG+2-player, but he was just too loose to do so. Maybe a flat would've been better than my flop 4bet?
And with the initial raiser not reraising I thought he might have a monster (AAA or JJJ), but I felt he wasn't that strong and just couldn't fold his AQ or AK. What do you think?

I'm not a big fan of the 4 bet on the flop, but that's a lot to do with personal play style. Just don't see the need to bloat this pot on the flop. If we just flat the flop raise, we are likely to get UTG2 to bet the turn again, where we can then raise. If UTG1 check calls a bet/raise on the turn, we are praying for a check check river.
The only problem with that line is when someone shoves turn, because I don't know if I'm folding, where as like you said, we can fold the flop if someone ships it.
Turn sizing is a bit wonky. With one caller, we have 4400 left into a 12k pot. Not very much to shove river. If two call, then it's a 15K pot and we are in a bad spot. I think I'd be around 2100. It's going to achieve the same thing 2940 does.
As played, on river I think I'm checking it back. AK and AQ is going to call our shove, but that's really all that can call that we beat still. Tournament life here is worth something vs getting max value for a hand that is going to be good lots of the time, but not all the time.
