It's the 1st hand with this player at the table, his big stack gave me an idea thet he's proably aggresive or has just been very lucky early on.

I thought theses no way he's got the flush already but might have the draw and just wants to push me out, which made me want to call. But then I figured maybe he has a queen as he would make the same move with a queen. Then I thought at best i'm 50/50 to a draw and I have no spade so i'm folding. What do you think?

w only 20bb i'd be more inclined to openshove the hand than to open and fold the flop here. if you open and somebody reshoves you're not gonna fold anymore or you'd might aswell openfold the hand starting w 20bb.

so just openshove and hope to get called by smaller pairs, AJ+. You'll dominate or flip or sometimes run into QQ+ and suck out 😀

if you open JJ w 20x and get called you dont want to see a flop containing a K,Q or A which will flop very often or get into a multiway pot. so shove when ur down to 20bb or less.lets say you had 25bb and raised (i would make it no more than 250 at this lvl) i would fold. Villain prolly has a Q and is scared of the FD or has a FD. not sure with what else he would just shove the flop with.

i'm ok with raising to see a flop, i prob raise smaller pre though (2.4x'ish)

i feel we lose value by shoving so deep

He looks like he has one of 2 hands

– naked As

– any sort of Q and pricing you out if you have a spade

Either way – i'm always folding to this flop bet and searching for thieving spots with my new 17BB stack

totally agree with everything that hape said except the only difference is i open even smaller 2.2x or 2.3. looking to induce and obv snap off a 3bet jam.

Flop is a fold.

standard 2 and bit raise preflop… fold the wet flop… pick a better spot to attack the big stack.

I personally wouldn't Jam JJ pre until I'm 12-14BB in MP3.

Ye olde pocket Jacks… my freaking nemesis hand!

Thanks for the advice all. I'v changed my pf raise size today to around 2.25, and it seems to have the same effect so thanks 🙂

The shove pre idea might not be too bad of an idea on boss media as they do tend to get called alot with weak hands on the site, I even tried it today in the 1st hand of a €5 tourney with AKos but I got no callers. The reason I tried it was that yesterday I saw a QQ hand do it and he got called by A5s AQos and AJos, the AJ went on to quadruple up in the 1st hand.

 Cheers all.
