Deep in the ferguson on tilt.  I figure no way this guy is calling sb with any ace or pp as ive seen himopening aces and pp but also seen him limping alot of pots then check/folding.   He also has been cbetting almost every pot ive seen him open so I thought maybe hes doing that here with some wack hand 78 or something.  Im new to the hand range reading thing but am really working on it.  I think I made right play but idk 20bb is pretty good stack here.  Should I have waited?  What yall think? bad play or bad luck?

I would not have shoved this hand, his donk bet looked strong and a pair of 3s is not good.

I would never shove here. If thats how you wanted to play this hand then the shove should have been done pre-flop( donk play as well in my books). Had that ace been the 4 of d then shoving is fine I think otherwise you didn't give yourself enough outs if your read is incorrect.

Shoving is useless because you're never called by worse and the risk/reward is bad. If you raise it's a raise/fold at 20k or so, but I prefer calling, especially against a passive opponent, hoping to see a showdown for cheap, calling turn only if you pick up more equity with like a flush draw and calling river only with 2pair+.
