Sorry if this is hard to read, the hand converter is not working for some reason.

In short i am down to 11BB's. UTG min raises (14/12 over 50 hands), cut off flats (who is playing 12/8 over 276 hands). I am in the BB and decide to shove. I find myself in this position often when i feel like i have a strong hand but not the best hand, as their range is most likely ahead of AJ (at least the guy who flats). Should i be folding and looking for another spot to open shove to take blinds? The whole squeeze play thing comes into my thought process here where i think i can get UTG to fold and at least get heads up, with a little fold equity.

I feel like i should be looking to shove more hands like T8s or 98s in the hope i have two live cards, because their range is so often going to have me dominated.

Would love anyone's opinions to help me out, as i said, i find myself in a similar position often.

To be honest I'd fold here: you have almost zero FE and utg calling range is really crushing you… I can see my self shoving here only with: a much looser utg opener and more bbs (15-20bbs)

Not to over simplify it, but I always want to avoid the big stack in this situation unless I want the call.  +1 the reply above, I assume I have zero fold equity and I am getting a call.

i am shoving here most of the time. your down to 10 bb. his utg raising range does not have to be aq ak and jj or better. he is prolly raising any pair and kq+ and the caller can easily be the same. if your behind then oh well, you have 10 bb and you would be get close to 2/1 on your shove if you are called.

I think much of whether you decide to shove, call or fold here depends on what you feel about the other players but one thing I will say straight away is that it is not necessarily the case that you have zero f/eq here. I have seen enough players raise/fold to 10-11bbs shoves to feel confident that not everyone will call off with the bottom of their raising ranges.

UTG looks TAG but is almost certainly going to be raising at least 66+, AT+, A8s+, KQ+, KTs+, QJs+, JTs+ plus maybe some additional random steals. Note that this is a 6 handed table and therefore likely opening ranges are wider than at a full ring table.

The flat looks odd from a tight player with 18bbs, however, this villain does flat 33% of the hands he plays. He is likely to have either a broadway type hand here (but not premium) or premium pair and is trapping. I expect him to shove a lot of pairs with less than 20bbs but some guys do still call with their pairs if they do not understand push/fold and implied odds – always possible at low stakes.

More important to me is that the pot size before we act is already 4850 chips. If we do get this through then we increase our chip stack by 62% (as the BB already belongs to the pot). I feel that is huge in this spot and am happy to shove. You will get trapped and also be dominated a lot but equally villains will often enough be raising and flatting then calling with hands we beat to make this extremely profitable so get it in and be happy to do so.
