MP2 player had just arrived at the table and I do not have any stats on him/her.

So my question is, do we three bet here or call hoping he continues with his bluffing/semi-bluffing hands?

I like a flat here because then it looks like your hand is pretty weak. There really aren’t many hands we are getting it in with here on the flop that we are ahead of (AA, AK, KQ, AQcc AJcc A10cc J10cc) so for that reason I think 3b is bad. Plus what are we going to 3b to? If we make it 3600 that just looks so strong and villain has to think that we are never folding now. If we 3b jam we are getting him to fold a lot of his range. By flatting we make it look like we are drawing. When we flat we have 5700 left and the pot is about 5200. Hoping a club doesn’t come to kill action I think villain leads turn for about 2000-2200 and then we can rip it in. Villain may call with like AQ or something if he thinks we are drawing and feels committed. If we were deeper I think a small 3b would be the right play to build the pot but based on stack sizes we aren’t getting 3 streets anyways so I like this line the best.

I shove it in after a brief pause. because this isnt a flop that he will be raise/folding for value, he will be getting it in with anything he isnt floating with.

agaisnt someone bluffy or who would raise/fold retarded value hands like QJ then i prefer flatting and getting it in on turn.

problem with flatting is that if he is raising with a draw and he bricks the turn he might just shut down.

only exception would be if you have a super agg and bluffy image and have generally been caught out/ran over him in spots, then you can click it back and let him try jam you out.

my reasoning for above is that when a you flat, you immediately indicate you have a stronger hand and dont want to scare action away, as an agg player is getting in all their draws

Tank/Jam. It's a small stakes mtt on Merge. Single pairs are calling you more than you think.

Agree with tank/jam. On merge guys do this with any pair and especially with a flush draw.

Don't know why but on merge guys play flush draws like their quad Aces.

Of course they usually get there against me! laugh

Id click it back on the flop to induce from draws or single pairs. I am doing my best here to get it in the middle with that texture of a board.

Inducing isn't as important, or successful, in low buy in mtt's. The fish just aren't anywhere close to aggro enough.

It's borderline fancy play syndrome trying to induce in a $5 or $10 mtt.

Fist pumping shove.. I think allot of the hands that will call off are one pair or drawing hands. Trying to get tricky at the lower stakes is sometimes pointless and could possibly lose value in playing it tricky.. too many times they call off way worse.
