Hey guys,
Ran into a tricky spot here. Basically my reasoning for this semi-bluffing on turn and bluffing the river was the fact that he bet so small on the flop(bet size tell) and the turn that he doesn't have the A so I figured I am probably still behind and I need to turn my hand into a bluff. I put him on KQ, QJ, JJ, KK based on the bet sizing. What do you think about my hand? Do you think I fold out all of his non A-hands? If not please tell me how do I make my hand more believable.
Thank you,
Tayde

I would have folded the SB. After calling pre, I would have check-called all 3 streets. If you check raise the turn what are you representing, a flush draw or maybe A2 or 32?

The other thing is whether he always bets so small. In other thread I made a reference to min-betting, but here he is consciously betting about 25% of the pot. In a vacuum I don't know what it means. If he sucks he is betting small with AQ because he “doesn't want to lose any customers.” He doesn't raise the river because you might have a 2, but he's not going to fold because “I have 2 pair.”

One possibility.

1.)fold pre QTo plays terribly vs an early position rasining range OOp

2.) lets look at the hand from villains perspective:

reasonable opening range: AQo+,A2s-A5s,ATs+,KJs+,JTs,98s,22+

your perceived flatting range from the SB is something like 22-TT, broadways, SC, and Ax x<J

so on the flop his value targets should be weak Ax, Qx and draws. As your range is not all too strong on this board a small bet is sufficent to get value. maybe getting 3 streets with strong Ax if bet small.

turn 2d basically does not change anything other than with his weaker Ax he is now chopping with you. further you are not repping anything with a c/r on this turn.

which 2x are you defending?  QQ,AA, AK,AQ are you most likely 3betting pre.

what hands are you trying to fold out?

is villain really betting twice into you with KK,JJ, KQ?

hope this helps to see why i would not c/r this turn.

summary: fold pre>c/c flop,c/fold turn>>>>>>>>>>c/c flop, c/r turn

cheers
