Did I do something wrong or is villain just an incredible soul reader?

I watched HITTHEPANDA's video on playing small pocket pairs and was looking to increase my aggression. I raise villain's donk on the flop as it seems so weak, and then his turn bet just screams weakness so I jam trying to get him to fold whatever limp/calls pre and bets so weakly on the flop and turn. Thoughts???

I am not sure if I would raise pre-flop with fours from MP. I usually set mine <66, unless I have a monster stack then I will bully.  I would be nervouse that he called your raise as it was more then 3x. His donk bet was strange and then he called your raise with a king out there. I think I would have shut it down on the turn, even though his turn bet is weak compared to the pot it seems like a typical donk value bet. I don't like how he played the nines but I do not like spewing chips with the 44's either. You made your attempt preflop which is worth trying but after he beat you to the post flop bet, I would have shut it down.
