I know MTT's boil down to a lot of pre-flop poker as you get deeper, but how often do you guys flat in late position on a 25+ BB stack deeper in MTT's?

Are you basically just doing it with premiums you decide to trap with instead of 3 betting them in a certain spot?

It depends on Villian. If Villian is aggresive and min-raise pre it might be a good idea cause his range is very wide and vs 3-bet he will fold everything that you are  ahead. I do this only with medium to very strong hands . When you have some agro monkey to your left that is squzze happy that might be also good idea to flatt call with very strong hands to trap Villian. Just my thoughts.

This is something that gets me tripped up quite a bit late in tournaments. I tend to freeze up which is definetly bad.

Me too….I know I should be 3betting a lot in late stages but I dont…the reason is I dont wanna get involved too much to the point to loose all the chips in one move….

Anyways I think hands like AK, AQ have more value in flat call then 3bet, speciall if against monkeys, the A flops and they wont fold to u with their A rag. On the other hand if you 3bet AK, your killing action…

I much rather 3bet in bluff than 3bet with some sort of hand…easier to fold if it doesnt work out, than lose all ur chips in some sort of ego pos-flop thing.

just remember that its easier to 3 bet from late position when your 3 betting someone who has opend from mid to late position as the range widens as apposed to an early position raiser. but i do really like to flat big here and let the original raiser hang themselves. and i really only like to do this with AA or KK never QQ and never flat here with AK. and the last thing is to consider is how much 3 and 4 betting has been going on at your table, if not much then you can take the pot down with a 3 bet if alot of 3 and 4 betting has been going on then flatting big sets up someone spewing behind
