Player 3 was passive so I should have 3bet his hand pre however i think the flat is ok.

the BB squeezer was an agro fish , I seen him squeeze once before when he had a spot & seen him SNAP call a 3bet jam for 90% of his stack with a10os..

how would you have played this ???

It’s a nasty spot. Given your perception of the villain I don’t mind the reshove too much since were’ most certainly live against a big percentage of his range.

With that said, there are other considerations. With 40BB we are confortable and we can pass on some spots. I’d pass the spot depending on the number of players left and the position. With 1000-2000 left I’d shove this all day given what you say, with 100 left an we in a top 30 position I’d probably fold and wait for a better spot.

I would have played exactly like you did, passive guy raising, calling IP I think is good. When the agressive guy sqz you both I like the shove if you think he will call most of his range there, if he is more likely to fold for a shove, then I call again, and call his shove on the flop.

Well, if you’re going to set up a squeeze, then I guess you have to act on it by shoving. Is it too fancy to flat/shove, however, especially vs. an opponent who may not notice because he’s too busy playing his own hand?

I like flatting the squeeze because I’m in position. Most flops are going to make him uncomfortable, and oftentimes you can float a flop bet and take it down on the turn.

In the case of this particular hand, I don’t think it mattered how you played it because the money was probably going to get in anyway. Even if you three-bet pre, the BB may shove if he’s as you describe.

Ty for the replies guys.

Its a very interesting spot this getting alot of mixed reviews.

It was last 50 players left in the big $11 out of about 6000 runners.

I really dont think its ok to flat the squeeze if i do call the flat its still a good portion of my stack and theres just no way ill fold any cbet ii’d at least float 1 street and try and take it down turn any way my stack is going in.

its fold pre or get it in IMO.

Because I knew the BB was aggressive and had made this play before I thought that theres a good chance he would fold to my 4bet jam and if he does calls yes of course its a flip i put him on 88+ dont think hes squeezing aj there and he could of possibly had AK also.

It a really tough spot and when i seen him call a 3bet jam before with a10os i decided to get it in.

fish will be fish though all they see is the chips going in and they done think , well it cost me big time, I quess i should have just folded pre however i do think theres alot of top mtters that would have 4bet got in in there also

If that is the case here, I think you should have just called his sqz, V will probably shove a lot of flops, and you should call, V will have 259.850 on his stack, and pot will be 283.422 when you call, if i did the math right 🙂

When you call you let all his bluffing range in there too, there is a lot of 60/40, but there is also 70/30 when you have him dominated with weak Aces, and I think V will shove a lot of his range, even when he hits nothing.
