A couple of hands earlier we got to showdown where I induced him to value bet A3 on an A high board when I had AQ on river.

Here, is my hand underepped enough that i shoudl call?  I”m trying to figure out what he can be blufifing here.

Halp!

shit thats a really tough spot…at this point i would fold given there are many hands he could beat you with.

normally i would put him on a set giving the flat preflop calls…if he had AQ i’m sure he would have 3 bet you or at least made the initial raise and would have protected his hand post flop. I would put him on a set of 4’s or 3’s.

Snap call, he could have plenty of QJ/A4/A3 / 65 etc bluffs in his range to make this a profitable call.  He isn’t flatting your cbet with KT on the flop, and almost definitely raises AQ preflop.  Only hands you should be afraid of are 44 or 33.  Cooler if so.

I snap as well and feel good about it.  his line doesn’t make sense if he has you beat, nor does it make sense with anything else for that matter.

my initial thoughts were that this river is a great card for our range, and he’s raising, which is a bit scary.

but i think panda is spot on, and there’re plenty of worse hands he can be shoving for value. and im having trouble believeing he ever shows up with KT because he’d have to float this flop and then not bet the turn when you check and he gets an OESD.

44/33 seem equally unlikely as i’d imagine he’d be at least betting the turn with them if not raising the flop.

so that leaves his range as AXhh/QJ/A4/A3/bluffs and a small chance of KT/44/33

Ok thanks i’m not going to belabor this one because I instacalled and he had KT.  How he showed up on the river with KT confused me which is why I posted the hand.  Wasn’t sure if I was missing something crucial but since it stumps everyone else I feel a little better.
