Hi all,
Background:
60 odd remaining in the Big 109
Villain is a massivly profitable player according to sharkscope. I am unknown to him (he would have had 30 hands on me)
I somewhat unthinkingly thought 'bluff catch' on the river and called. I wanted to see if this is a good spot to bluff catch so I've added this hand to GTO range builder.
Get to river ranges :
Hero: 4d3d, 5d3d+, 6d4d+, 7d5d+, 8d6d+, 9c9h, 9c9s, 9h9s, Ac2c-Ac9c, Ac2d-Ac8d, Ac2h-Ac9h, Ac2s-Ac9s, Ah2c-Ah9c, Ah2d-Ah8d, Ah2h-Ah9h, Ah2s-Ah9s, Jc7c-Jc9c, Jc9h, Jc9s, Jh7h-Jh9h, Jh9c, Jh9s, Js7s-Js9s, Js9c, Js9h, Kd2d-Kd8d, Kd5c+, Kd5h-KdJh, Kd5s+, KdQd, KdTd, QcTd, Qd2d-Qd8d, Qd8c+, Qd8h+, Qd8s+, QdTd, QsTd, Td5d-Td8d

Going to have a look in CR EV as well.

Cool Program, have to look into this.
I like your play as is.
I do not like a 3-bet pre. Our hand flops well and would not want to 3-bet fold pre on a shove from villian. Villians range is very wide here.
I would not shove river here. Not sure villian buys the flush. No rasise on the flop or turn bet to build a big the pot. Not all players are going to be doing that but I think his image of you puts you in the catorgory of players that would. ie. not a reg.
You have played this hand very cautiously (as would I) and villian can easily bet river with a hand that missied. That will be the only way he can win.

I like the way you played the hand, but I think your get to river ranges are off. Are you really checking so many small flushes on the turn? I don't think you should. The bigger flushes would be the better ones to slowplay, if you're going to slowplay any. I also don't like checking Ax unless X is a diamond, either.
As for betting the turn, what are the worse hands with decent equity that you think will fold? I could see more of a case for betting if you didn't have a diamond, because there's some value in chasing out stray diamonds, but I still think checking is probably better. Your exact hand is a pretty ideal bluff-catcher because it can't really bet for value but is also very hard to draw out on.

Thanks for the comments all,
With you on the Ax component of our range, but not so much on our baby flushes against a good player IP with these stack sizes. If an unknown calls flop cbet then leads turn I’s suspect he’d fold a decent % of his smaller Ax, and air hands. I like the idea of allowing him the opportunity to have more bluffs in his range on the river. For sure we risk him getting there, but with only 3 diamonds possible I’m ok with that. There are the additional outs for his Ax hands too, so perhaps your right. Feel like this is a good CR EV study point. How would you group river cards, the update to CR EV allows up to 10 now I think.
In addition I suspect he is capable of check/shoving a river which would put most of our flush draws in a tough spot. His range can support that line as he can have all possible full houses where as ours can’t.
What your though on the value of usingGTO range builder in this spot and do you like the ship over his river bet it suggests?
cheers 🙂

Interestingly if I remove the shove feature, which seems reasonable, I’m only going all in 12% of the time. This still feels like a poor play, but I’ll calling 88% now which feels more in line with real in game play.
Those GTO range builder hands you have shared do not work if you do not have a license.
GTO range builder is something ive seen on a few vids elsewhere and it seems like it would be really handy. Apparently he is still 3-5 years away from solving flops.
I will reply about the ranges itself when I have more time a little later.
