Was a little surprized by how quick Bdbeatslayer was wanting to make a deal. I understand his stance but with such an edge skill wise just curious what you guys would do in his shoes. As well great showing KB and Hag. So sick that A10>AA hand def worst beat I witnessed that tourney.

Here is his response on 2+2:

Thanks a lot for the support guys! Lol @ all the hate im getting for chopping though… I know it might not seem like too much money for you ballers, but locking up 670k meant a lot more to me than “taking my edge 25 bbs deep”. Maybe one day I'll be bad ass enough to flip coins for millions, but meh, won't lose any sleep over it.

I have had a tough year personally and financially, feels good to be secure again and to get back to winning. Thanks for the kind words and I enjoyed the unkind ones too!

If they are 25bb deep I can't blame him for chopping.  I think 9th place got like 30k or something like that.  The pay jumps are just so enourmous.  I might have let a few go out first but overall I think chopping is fine because it's still life changing money.

yeah in these situations sure theoretically it makes sense to play and excersize your edge. but the fact is that you are probably never going to be in this spot again, you're just never going to see the “long run” of this situation (good chip position at a FT of a 60k-person field with 1.7M to 1st). and locking up theoretical equity, esp when it's over 6-fugures, is huge.

It is such life changing money – I would snap chop and play for a 200k car.  It's essentially playing for what first in the sunday million normally is, anyway.

It's disappointing that there was a 9-way deal, it would've been fun to see them play it out, but I don't think you can really blame the guys with such huge sums of money riding on shallow stacks. It's always gonna happen unless they ban deals.

FWIW final table deals aren't permitted where I play most (Sky Poker), though I'll be the first to admit that the biggest tournaments there are small fry compared to those on the mainstream sites.

+1 nice to see a highstakes reg take it down, haveing 25 bb is not much of a safety net no matter how skilled, 670k is like winning 3 sunday millions im sure hes over it!
