Ok, I understand this hand has a ton of different variables. If we apply some of them from the hand DDD played, the bet sizing on the river is where the focus is. Here, again, substituting similar variables from DDDs hand is where I have consistently made errors. I would normally be firing around 25-30%. This hand happened roughly ten minutes ago BTW. Correct me if I am wrong, but Drew is this what you were saying?

Ignore the actual hand, literally the only scenario where I am playing it…ever.

I think this is a similar spot, but only in terms of sizing. The hand itself is quite different. As opposed to the QJ hand, where I was near the top of my range (most better hands would 3bet preflop), you’re basically at the bottom of your value range. I’d also be less inclined to go for thin value in a multi-way pot. You’re representing a much stronger range when you bet into 3 people on the turn and villain will presumably call turn with a stronger range. Especially on a 4-flush, both of your ranges become quite narrow, so it is pretty hard to find enough combos worse than an 8 high flush that pay you off on the river. Still, if you are betting the river, I like this size a lot more than 1/3rd pot.

Agreed! and yes you nailed it. The hand is almost irrelevant. Because, given this is a freeroll, most of the field is extremely soft 90% of the entire tourney. Where as, playing in slightly higher stakes, I don’t think we ever really see a 4-way limp pot, and we are only raising this hand to throw it in the muck. But if we have say, 88 with 8 of spades, and CO raises preflop etc, etc. I like river size as well.
