This is late into day 6 in WSOP ME with like 60 people remaining. Blinds are 30k/60k. David has 2.8M to start hand and Villain has 4.4M. No significant reads on villain.

The hand: It folds to David in SB and he opens to 140k, villain flats. Flop comes K62ssh. David c-bets 140k, villain flats. Turn 3d. David checks, villain bets 250k, David raises to 650k, villain flats. River is Ah. David leads 750k to leave him with 1.1M behind. Villain snap shoves.

For those that have seen the hand on tv I'd prefer if you didn't comment on the hand.

Questions:

1) What does David take this line with? Is his range weighted more towards bluffs or value hands?

2) What are the most likely holdings of the villain?

3) Is the A on the river a good card to rep more for David or villain?

I discussed this hand with David and I'll share his thoughts later. Would love to get some feedback. Good shit right here TPE.

1/ really weighted towards value hands imo, AK  22 Axss KK 66 33 AA  but he also has a bluff range of random flush draws and blockers like Asxr

2/ 45ss 22 33 45o 66 A6s

3/ its a better river for david as his range is uncapped where as villian likely 3bets alot of his Ax range but it also makes his range thinner because hands like KQ and KJ that he may have been going for max value BVB now C/C river.

i havent seen the hand

David had 109o in this hand. When we discussed the hand he said that in this spot he takes this line more with his value range because it looks bluffy and a lot of times you will get paid off. He said that he thought the A was a good card for him to represent because villain would've more than likely 3b him pre if he had an A. Also villain's line doesn't make much sense with an A unless it's like Axs. Villain piled river with….. wait for it….. 108ss. He then showed it and David said he couldn't believe it. Do you guys think villain had any logic behind this play or was just “clicking buttons”? I asked David why he didn't just pile river for a pot sized bet and he replied with “I thought a bet 750k would almost always get the job done and if I was wrong, I'd still have chips to play with.”
