Partially posting this so I don’t forget.

So in the infamous Jennifear push chart w 11bb but shoves 39.7%

Look up hand in HRC where but has 11bb, I have 40bb and bb has 60bb; now button can shove 44.2% since I have to be tighter getting in w 40bb eff (hrc isn’t great at spots where I call then fold to the bb shove, but w/e)

So the point is when we’re in this spot w 11bb if we notice the blinds are both very deep we can shove a bit wider than normal.

Also worth noting that the discrepency is less pronounced for the cutoff’s range here; normally he’s at 32.1-33% w 10.5bb but he only goes up to 34.6.

Actually just edited the sim a bit; so about the co; this smaller change is mostly due to button only having 11bb; adjusted buttons stack to 40bb and now CO can shove 36.3%

Player in the HJ had 10bb and even w those 3 40+bb stacks can only shove 31.3% vs normal 29.7%

In conclusion; makes a decent bit of difference w the later position spots, but probably not worth worrying about when your in HJ or earlier position. Hope this was somewhat helpful/interesting lol

Neat, not really something I think about, thanks for sharing! FWIW I think it’s great that you’re going this kind of experimentation with tools like HRC. It’s the kind of thing that will make you much better at poker across the board, not just in these specific spots.

This factor is one of the primary reasons I don’t like Jennifear’s charts that much – ranges change a ton based on stack size distributions, and no push-fold chart can ever account for that. You’ll also find that if stacks behind are particularly short then our ranges will tighten up a little, since our opponents are going to be forced to call off much more frequently.

HRC is, IMO, by far the best Nash calculator out there, so I’ll echo Andrew in saying good job for doing your homework. Relying on charts can only get you so far.
