Weird decision OTR here, I assume this line from V match a set or str8, some two pairs too, what you guys think? And what is the range that I can beat that does that? On my thinking I can beat nothing but bluffs:

Pacific, $10.90 Buy-in (100/200 blinds, 25 ante) No Limit Hold’em Tournament, 8 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager – The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): 5,568 (27.8 bb)
BB: 10,418 (52.1 bb)
UTG+2: 5,782 (28.9 bb)
MP1: 4,665 (23.3 bb)
MP2: 6,521 (32.6 bb)
MP3: 1,247 (6.2 bb)
CO: 3,898 (19.5 bb)
BTN: 5,093 (25.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Kspade Qclub
6 folds, Hero raises to 500, BB calls 300

Flop: (1,200) 5spade 9diamond 6heart (2 players)
Hero bets 600, BB calls 600

Turn: (2,400) 4diamond (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks

River: (2,400) Qspade (2 players)
Hero bets 1,200, BB raises to 3,600, Hero folds

I am starting to get the feeling that I am too tight yell

I use pokerstove for Equity Calc.

Pre we have a 56% chance to win giving V a 60% range

Pre V has 3:1 pot odds, I’d call with my full range of hands here.

He also has a lot of Q’s in his range by the range I gave him

Flop a moist colorful board that I believe hits V’s range well.

on Flop the Equity reverses and we only have a 39% chance to win

Once again V has 3:1 pot odds, If I were he I would just call here with strong made hands as my opponent is doing  a fine job of betting.

The turns comes out as a card that we don’t like much because it drops our Equity by another 5 %

Checks Through, to the River and we get top pair second best kicker

On the bright side our equity skyrockets to 87%,

We bet and get raised, we fold, I believe this to be the proper play.

The only thing we beat is busted flush/straight draws, most all lower pocket pair, all under-cards.

Making our hand(to me) a bluff catcher. If we knew more about the V we could narrow his range down but from the play and the initial read on V I had to keep him on a 60% range the whole time.

However, I have also been known to call in these spots and chip up nicely, on the other hand I lost my chip stack to the same kinds of hands.
